DIRECTOR, ARTIST, CREATIVE DIRECTION.

Lois Stevenson is a Visual Artist and Director based in London. She is drawn to the exploration of strong feminine identities and sexuality, set against a backdrop of sensual, dream-like scenarios and narratives. Her approach is experimental with the intention of creating an immersive experience for the viewer.

After graduating from Chelsea College of Art and exhibiting her first film Now You See Me; a manic depiction of social media and surveillance, Lois was approached to direct an LGBTQ+ feature film called Into the Mirror, musical score by Johnny Jewel (Drive, Twin Peaks: The Return). The film went on to win several awards on the festival circuit, including Best LGBT Film at NRFF London and Best Debut Feature at New Renaissance Film Festival in Amsterdam. It has had a theatrical release in the US and distributed onto Amazon Prime.

What About Me? is Lois’ latest collaborative project - a short fashion film which has been selected for the renowned Aesthetica Short Film Festival as well as many more across the UK. Marked by the LA Times as ‘one to watch’, she continues to produce visually compelling work that includes video installations, short films and music videos. Please reach out for collaborations and commissions.
